The Apprentice Series 3 - Episode 9

Smile though your heart is breaking..

"Dull!"

The Task: The teams had to pick a country, with three unique products to sell. If they don't sell all three items or are late back to the boardroom, they face a fine. Sir Alan makes it clear that this task is not about going up to people on the street, but cold-calling and making an appointment with retailers.

Opinion: Yawn, is it just me or was this episode absolutely terminal? I am not sure that it deserves any more of any of our time so this will be brief. The only saving grace was the fact that the girls won....assuming, that is, that Jadine is actually a man. Also, maybe I am bias but does Sir Alan sugar clearly has his favourites or is being advised by the production staff to keep in the “characters” i.e the bitch (Katie) and the “gobby” bastard (Tre): who clearly should have been fired in this episode, although I still love him. Instead SAS gave poor Lohit a hammering for being a nice guy with no “killer instinct” and fired Jadine with a disappointing “I have nothing bad to say about you” and even wished her good luck, perhaps he should have used the fact that she cried while Lohit worked and left the team to doorstep or perhaps he should have watched the episodes of her being rude, abrasive and aggressive. I did, however, secretly love the body competitiveness in Selfridges between the girls!
