Immortalised in Lego Posted by wheelsofsteelandfire Tuesday, 2007-April-24 Voted the nation's favourite toy, was it not (and if not, why not?), Lego - or Sorefooto, as la famille would call it is a versatile beast. And I think the vids here prove it - see Soph/Andy at top left (at time of writing).

Rule 3: never plead for your place in the boardroom! Heya! Posted by Phil T Friday, 2007-April-20 Hi Sophie, Fantastic to see you on the show! I haven't seen you since that curry in Guildford but I see you've kept yourself busy. Things here in Cambridge are going quite well - might even get my PhD one of these days... Who am I kidding - it's going to be more like another year I think but it's all fun! I didn't get to see your swansong but you came across very nicely on BBC Breakfast the next day. Pharmaceuticals indeed! Best of luck with everything, Phil T BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY Posted by cherryl.martin Thursday, 2007-April-19 Sophie, please contact me. I have a business I am trying to develop that will be of interest to you.
Congratulations on the ethical stand you took. It was great. You have opened a long overdue debate and paved the way for others to think more carefully about what they are prepared to do to make a buck.
I am however, interested in 'wealth creation' - since it is only by creating genuine wealth (as opposed to just money) that we will be able to create a better world. My business is about teaching people to create that wealth ethically, by changing themselves before they change the world and by thinking more clearly about the issues they face.
For your interest, I am an economist with an MBA working for a PhD in Strategic thinking, (you can be a geek and a business tycoon at the same time!) but primarily writing a book about a new model of strategic thinking that I have developed during an exhaustive and exhauting period of 7 years of research. I am looking for energetic young people to work with me to teach the model and to develop the business. Your fame and the stand you have taken will give the business the start it needs.
Best wishes
Cherryl Martin More Hired than Fired votes says it all Posted by mikey Thursday, 2007-April-19 Hi Soph,
Anita was getting well p-d off with Vanessa Feltz last night! I reckon she had it in for you after seeing the footage of you giving sweets away... sweets she could have been eating. Food for thought.
Thought you handled yourself well all round, though you could easily have avoided being fired I think - if you really wanted to, that is. Hey ho. Selling in business isn't really like trying to get an ASBO at London Zoo, anyway, is it?
Hope you had fun anyway,
Mikey Sophie, you're not a shambles. You're not fired (yet). Posted by Pete Monday, 2007-April-16 I have a complaint about the editing on Apprentice - they don't show enough of you. I believe this is because people who aren't out of their depth don't make 'interesting telly'. Would it be a breach of copyright if you edited Kain highlights? Please investigate... On a lighter note, I've been enjoying seeing you on the screen so much Soph and it's with a sick sense of pride that I can say "You know that Sophie girl off the telly? I stabbed her once." What can I say - nobody else could bear a friend's error of judgement, especially one including juggling knives while drunk, with such grace. All of which confirms why you should be Alan Sugar's boss. I mean, honestly, who uses Amstrad phones in the real world? Alan Sugar and my aunt are the only two people I know of. read more Gerri's firing Posted by brangdon Sunday, 2007-April-15 Agreed, from Gerri's website it does seem unfair that she was fired. However, I do think her boardroom performance was dreadful, and I also think that it's important that whoever wins The Apprentice be able to talk to Sir Alan in that kind of situation. So I think that given that boardroom, it was the right decision. She could so easily have saved herself, but she didn't.
I thought Naomi was brilliant in the boardroom, and not really passive. She made her points and was the first to bring up Jadine's disruptive effect on the team. She was only quiet when she had nothing to say, and that often worked in her favour. At one point the women degenerated into a shouting match, and she wasn't part of it. It seemed at the end Stealth sold kisses because they couldn't think of anything else. With hindsight, do you wish you'd put more thought into the evening service at the planning stage the previous evening? The boys had the same problem, of course. Did you consider doing face-painting for adults in the evening? Sometimes drunk girls will think it is a laugh to have their face painted, especially if it makes them look cute. Did you spend a lot of money on the face-painting materials? I gather you were giving away balloons and lollipops, in addition to the paints themselves. Did you have a lot left over at the end? Acclimatisation Posted by wheelsofsteelandfire Friday, 2007-April-13 Hey Soph; just back after a couple of weeks away; not sure three episodes of the Apprentice in one day was the best way to re-acclimatise to the UK, but it worked; looking forward to the next one now. Barely knowing what day it is mitigates against asking you any tricky physics questions, though there's a question about unladen swallows and velocities that has puzzled people for a long while that perhaps you can help with.
